Meet Our Instructors
Our instructors are professionally trained from elite and rigorous Pilates training programs and many have added professional expertise in physical therapy, dance, equestrian sports, and strength and endurance training.
Kelly is a self-proclaimed fitness addict, Pilates graduate of the New York-based PhysicalMind Institute, and owner of The Pilates Body. And eager learner, Kelly has focused her continued education on pre- and post-natal Pilates as well as recovery programs for back pain and injury. Her newest educational interest is improving neurological function through exercise. Kelly is an active community member and prior fitness ambassador for Lululemon Athletica at the Brand Americana.
A Seattle native, Cindy worked her way down the west coast performing at regional theaters along the way. When she arrived in Los Angeles, she took a Pilates class and fell in love with the Pilates method, exercise that was so challenging and yet so much fun! After practicing Pilates for 5 years, noticing the changes in her body and realizing she was stronger and more flexible than ever, she realized she was passionate about sharing Pilates with others. So in 2004, she got her formal teaching certification from 2nd generation master teacher Jillian Hessel. Cindy enjoys personalizing each session according to what the body needs that day so by the end of your session you feel stronger, taller, flexible, relaxed and more invigorated than when you arrived.
Office manager, public relations specialist, and BarreFierce instructor, Tracy spent eleven years training in all forms of dance at The Center for Ballet Arts in Virginia. After performing the role of Clara in the “Nutcracker,” a serious knee injury waylaid her dance career, but lead her to pursue a musical theatre degree. This path took Tracy to England where she received not only her M.A. at the Guildford School of Acting, but also a keen sense of business in the fitness industry. While working at a high-end fitness studio and training clients privately in their homes, Tracy choreographed her ballet-conditioning method “BarreFierce.” Tracy holds a NESTA Pilates certification, is a certified Weight Control Counselor, and most recently completed the BASI Pilates Dance Specialization program with Karen Clippinger. Her fitness philosophy is mind over matter: she loves helping her clients build strength, endurance, and confidence through positivity and a focused mind-body connection!
Originally from Colorado, Stephanie discovered Pilates over a decade ago and quickly became a strong believer in the power behind the method. Growing up in the Rocky Mountains, her passion for a healthy and active lifestyle was instilled at a young age; leading her to gain a Bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition-Dietetics and become a comprehensively trained Pilates instructor. She specializes in Nutrition and Pilates through Pregnancy (BASI-certified).
Stephanie strives to empower her clients to live their best lives through a strong and well-nourished body. You will find her classes are approachable and creative to suit clients of all levels, motivating them to connect to their bodies and celebrate their abilities. She wants you to have a positive experience, leaving your session feeling empowered and ready for whatever life has to offer. When not teaching or working with her CO clients, you can find Stephanie traveling, hiking, exploring and eating her way through SoCal as well as spending time with her fiancé and fur baby.
Nicole has studied Pilates at Balanced Body University and at Core Conditioning. With a longtime love of movement, she has also studied ballet, modern dance, and world dance with a variety of East Indian styles, such as such as Kathak, Classical, and Indonesian. Nicole is an outdoor enthusiast who stays active by biking, running and hiking. She is currently working on her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Program and enjoys sharing her love of Pilates and movement with her clients.
Margaret Chapman is a Los Angles transplant, originally from New Jersey, who worked in the world of musical theater for years. Always playing around with the idea of going into personal training, her husband, a successful massage therapist and chiropractor, supported her in getting her pilates teacher certification. Margaret received a classical base training, with contemporary auxiliary and Fletcher influences. Margaret’s style of teaching incorporates the classical practices of Joseph Pilates with other contemporary exercises, passed down from generations of pilates instructors and fitness experts. She tailors every session to each client’s specific needs. Her goal is to make every client feel like their body gets stronger and stronger with every session, helping them look and feel their best!
British-born Pilates instructor Sasha Judkins has danced professionally on both sides of the Atlantic for over 15 years. Sasha’s years of dance and travel took a toll on her body, and she found that Pilates practice helped her to stay strong both mentally and physically. After many years as a resident dancer in New York and Las Vegas productions, she decided to pursue her Pilates education and certification.
Sasha received her certification from The Pilates Studio Las Vegas – an intensive 6-month course endorsed by the Pilates Method alliance. She has experience working on all equipment, and with clients of various levels of fitness experience. Sasha is thrilled for the opportunity to meet you and share her love of Pilates, her upbeat and fun style of teaching, and of course to throw in some fancy rhythm and flow into your workouts!
Victoria J. Norton
Victoria J. Norton is BASI-certified, having trained directly with an internationally-recognized Pilates expert. She was drawn to Pilates for its integrity, beauty and precision, as well as its focus on strength from the inside out, muscular balance and skeletal alignment. Victoria enjoys teaching a wide range of clients, from those simply seeking a higher level of fitness or beauty in movement to post-rehab clients, from athletes in training to seniors seeking balance and strength to face the challenges of advancing age. She has been teaching Pilates for 15 years.
Victoria loves to be on mountain trails, either hiking or on her mountain bike. She also loves camping, the beach, and everything outdoors. She lives in Glendale with her husband and their four teenagers.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Deanna Reeves was first introduced to Pilates over 19 years ago through her classical ballet training. It has since been the driving force behind her injury free career as a professional dancer. Deanna has performed with Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, Continuum Contemporary Ballet, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show and in a plethora of commercials and music videos from Taylor Swift to Kanye West, to name a few.
She received her Classical Pilates certification through Pilates Technique Inc.’s 470 hour comprehensive program. This, combined with her knowledge from a career in dance has further developed her teaching methods in Pilates and Barre. Deanna strives to help each client improve their mind body awareness, flexibility, and strength. She is thrilled to be joining the team at The Pilates Body, and to share her love of movement with each client.
A graduate of the Yogaworks Teacher Training program, Lila is thrilled to share her knowledge and love of yoga with an emphasis on proper alignment, intelligent sequencing and hands on adjustments tailoring a class to fit whomever walks through the door. Lila is a firm believer that yoga is for EVERYONE no matter one’s shape, size, age, or flexibility and cannot wait to share her passion and love with all those who desire to tread the glorious path of yoga.
Kellie is from Glendale (born and raised). She attended California State University Long Beach and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development and Family Studies. In addition, she attended Mount St. Mary’s University where she received her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology. Kellie enjoys helping children, families and loves spending time with her big Greek family. Kellie started taking Pilates classes about a year ago as corrective exercise for her scoliosis. Pilates has helped Kellie with her posture and increase her range of motion. Kellie is an avid promoter of working out and living a healthy and positive lifestyle.
West coast born and raised, Richie leads an active lifestyle. He enjoys hiking, camping, the beach, and fitness. In his spare time, he’s busy writing and performing music with his group “U4iA.”
