On May 30, 2015, The Pilates Body hosted a Relaunch celebrating 14 years providing Pilates and other complementary fitness programs to the Glendale community and nearby locales. The event ran from 1:00-5:00 p.m. and was FREE and open to the public.“Though this is not a milestone anniversary—5th, 10th or 20th—the year 14 is a really special one to celebrate. After being ill for the past two years (and ultimately diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis), I was ready to throw in the towel and close the studio doors. But the love and support of my Pilates Body family (team members and clientele) made me realize I can do this! I can persevere,” said Kelly Tourgeman, Owner.
Seasoned trainer Rocio Ponce kicked off the party with a fierce Flamenco performance, accompanied by a live guitarist. Rocio turned up the heat with her dancing, and invited attendees and trainers to try the high energy moves themselves. Next, newcomers and clients sampled the burn and got their sweat on for FREE during TPB’s 20 minute summer class teasers. Emma Hill’s foam roller sequence tested balance and control, and gave everyone a taste of Pilates variations. Tracy Ramsay’s BarreFierce method (a combination of Dynamic Pilates and Barre Conditioning) challenged guests to the core.
Throughout the day, guests enjoyed a delicious healthy spread from FOODBYBRI, including a variety of salads and gluten-free and vegan desserts. Chef Briana Ryan showed off her cooking skills in her fabulous demonstration, where guests learned to make her signature vegan Cashew Nacho “Cheese” and yummy Chocolate Coconut Avocado Pudding. Pressed Juicery offered samples of their refreshing juices throughout the day, while trainer Julie Klass created healthy cocktails. Jaime Preston of “Free People Clothing” sold her signature knits in the first of TPB’s summer trunk shows. Wellness coach Sara Joy Worth gave a workshop on the benefits of essential oils, and broughtDOTERRA’s natural solutions for guests to sample. The TPB Team concluded the Summer Kickoff with a Raffle benefitting The American Cancer Society, and raised over $200 thanks to their sponsors at Lululemon, Lather, Pressed Juicery, Doterra, Violetlove,Ariada Salon and Spa, and more.
Guests left the party with free “swag bags” full of samples from Doterra, Raw Revolution,Boscia, Pressed Juicery, Snacks 101, Kooee Super Snacks, Simply 7, Onzie, Temple Tumeric, Violet Love, Ariada Salon & Spa, S.W.
